The ERP certification of lighting fixtures includes three aspects: appearance quality, safety, and durability:
1. Appearance design: refers to whether the design of the lamp meets the requirements of EU regulations;
2. Safety performance: refers to whether the lighting product has the function of ensuring the personal safety of consumers;
3. Durability: Refers to whether the lamp product can be used for a long time without fading or being damaged.
EU certification standards for lighting fixtures
The EU certification standard for lighting fixtures is based on the ERP international standard. These standards mainly focus on safety, hygiene, and energy conservation, and propose specific requirements for different types of products. At present, common lamps in the market include desk lamps, lamp tubes, floor lamps, etc. They all need to comply with relevant regulatory standards in order to obtain certification. In general, when applying for EU certification of lighting fixtures, enterprises will provide a complete list of information, including basic information about lighting fixtures, legal and regulatory information, production process information, and other content. 1. Conformity assessment, according to the ERP directive, manufacturers can choose one of the two assessment modes of "internal design control" or "environmental management system" for assessment;
2. Organize and form technical documentation (TDF); Manufacturers must form technical documents; Technical documents should include information on design, manufacturing, operation, and final product disposal; The details will be clarified through the implementation measures of each product.
3. Issue a Declaration of Conformity (DoC); Instructions and standards for basic information to be followed.
